The Bruins keep finding ways to win. Boston beat the San Jose Sharks 6-4 at TD Garden on Saturday, October 24, 2026, scoring four times in the third period to rally from a 3-2 deficit and extend its point streak to eight games. It was the second straight game in which Boston scored six, coming two nights after a 6-0 shutout of Nashville.
Bruins Score Four in the Third to Beat San Jose
Dmitry Orlov’s power-play goal at 4:03 of the third put San Jose up 3-2, but Boston answered fast. David Pastrnak scored at 8:27 to tie it, his seventh goal of the season, which tied Patrice Bergeron for third on the Bruins’ all-time list with 427. James Hagens scored just 40 seconds later to put Boston ahead, Fraser Minten added a power-play goal at 12:00, and Will Borgen sealed it with an empty-netter. Casey Mittelstadt, who scored the first goal for his 100th career NHL goal, and Marat Khusnutdinov also scored for Boston. Jeremy Swayman made 21 saves.
Michael Misa, Kiefer Sherwood, Orlov and Will Smith scored for San Jose, which had won two in a row, and Alex Nedeljkovic made 29 saves. The Sharks hung around and twice answered Boston goals before the third-period surge.
The Betting Takeaways
- Puck line: Boston won by two, but it took Borgen’s empty-netter to get there, so anyone laying -1.5 was sweating until the final minute.
- Total: Ten goals sailed over the 6.5 total.
- Moneyline: Boston was the home favorite and needed a comeback to deliver.
The Bruins are now 9-2-1 with a 7-0-1 run during the streak, and they swept the Sharks in the season series. Boston has been winning in different ways, but giving up four goals to San Jose is something Marco Sturm’s team will want to tighten up before a tougher stretch. Question for the comments: Is Boston’s point streak a sign of a real contender, or does the defense catch up with them?
